Rings For Every Occasion

Jewellery has been with mankind since millennia. It is used to adorn one self or to express beauty and love for one. The more  the jewellery one wears the more higher in status the person is considered and this holds true even today where the wealthy  sport huge cut diamond rings in multi coloured hues. There are different types of jewellery worn by a person. This can be in  the form of a necklace, or a bracelet, ear rings, rings, anklets, arm bands, nose rings, necklaces with pendants, and the  list can go on. This article deals with rings specifically those worn on the fingers. A finger ring is a circular band  encircling the finger it is worn on.

As per custom in most places the ring worn on the third finger of the left hand is  considered as a wedding ring, although in some places it is considered as the engagement ring and the wedding ring is worn on  the fourth digit of the right hand. There are different kinds of rings available in the market. They come in various  materials such as metal, plastic, bone, wood, glass, some adorned with gemstones. Some are made of pure metal like silver,  gold, these can be plain or have precious stones attached like diamond, ruby, sapphire or emerald.

Diamond rings are the most popular type of rings. These rings are worn as engagement rings, anniversary rings and fashion  rings. The cut normally here matters a lot, the most popular being the solitaire which has a spectacular and clean look all  with just a single diamond. Accent rings have more than one diamond and are placed together in a pretty design. Sometimes the  diamonds are surrounded by coloured stones; this is to showcase the diamond stone. Anniversary rings usually are very simple  but one design quite common is the three stone ring which has three stones to represent the past, present and future.

Platinum rings are made of the metal called platinum. It is a bright metal that looks beautiful and is more long lasting than  gold. This is why it is more expensive than gold. But not so much that people can not afford it. The designs are very classy  and elegant to showcase the burnish of the metal. Many people buy platinum rings to celebrate their anniversary, although  higher earning incomes find younger people also buying it.Titanium rings are rings made out of the metal titanium. It is a hard metal unlike gold and will not wear out easily while  maintaining its gloss and polished look.
